Directions For Use
Remove cap and applicator tip. Pour attached vial contents into gel. Snap applicator tip into place and replace cap. After ascorbic acid has dropped to bottom of gel, shake until dissolved. Holding your pet's head steady with one hand, place the applicator tip inside the corner of the mouth. Gently squeeze a small amount of gel onto the outside of the back upper molar teeth and gums. A natural cleansing action will distribute gel to remote areas. Use daily for best results.
Prevention and Maintenance:
You can virtually assure yourself of your pet's good oral health if you will follow these suggestions: regular checkups and scalings (removal of plaque and calculus) by your veterinarian; periodic checks of the pet's mouth for bad breath and discolored, inflamed gums; a diet which generally avoids sweet or soft, sticky foods; and daily use of an oral cleansing compound such as Maxi/Guard.

For Preparation and Use:
Maxi/Guard Oral Cleansing Gel is packaged in a 4 ounce bottle with a component vial of granulated ascorbic acid (vitamin C). To activate the product, pour the ascorbic acid into the gel bottle, wait for the granules to sink to the bottom of the bottle and shake until dissolved. The product should now be stored out of direct ultraviolet light and heat. It will have as half life of approximately 6 months in a cool dark cabinet or approximately 14 months in a refrigerator. Over time, the mixed product will start to change color from blue to green. Any shade of blue or green denotes the product is fresh and efficacious. If the product turns to a yellowish or brownish color, the product should be replaced with a new bottle.
